[JCPHPN] A Platform for the Nursing Science That Shapes Healthier Communities
Nursing practice in community and public health settings is growing faster than ever. Health promotion, population health monitoring, and care for vulnerable communities are no longer niche interests—they are central to how we think about sustainable health systems. Journal of Community, Public Health and Preventive Nursing (JCPHPN) is built around the nursing role in these expanding fields.
Our scope covers community-based practice, family health, and primary care delivery, but we also go further: maternal and child health, school-based nursing, rural health challenges, and care for populations that are often overlooked. Mental health promotion, disaster preparedness, environmental health nursing, and community intervention trials are all part of what we do.
We also understand that research in community and public health settings often comes with real-world constraints. Good work deserves a fair and efficient review process. During our launch phase, we are waiving article processing charges to make sure cost does not stand in the way of sharing valuable findings.
We are a new journal, still growing, but we are serious about building a space where community and public health nursing research can be seen, cited, and put into practice. If your work touches on community nursing, public health interventions, preventive care, or health equity, and you share the same missions with us, we would love to have you with us.
