Inaugural Issue of Global Population Perspectives Now Live

We are delighted to announce that the inaugural issue of Global Population Perspectives (GPP) has been officially released and is now fully accessible online.
This first issue presents a compelling collection of three research articles and two reviews that exemplify the journal’s global and interdisciplinary scope. The contributions delve into critical population dynamics across diverse geographical and social contexts: Somali refugee girls, child labor in Ghana’s Ashanti region, and Canadian ageing workers. One crucial theoretical piece juxtaposes overpopulation, depopulation, and optimum population paradigms in relation to Earth’s carrying capacity. Additionally, Prof. Xianhong Qin, a member of our editorial board, contributed an opening editorial, which introduces the journal’s mission and vision.
We extend our sincere gratitude to all the authors who entrusted us with their work, the dedicated reviewers for their insightful feedback, and our editorial board for their guidance and support in launching this new scholarly platform.
All articles in this issue are published under an open-access policy. We warmly invite scholars, researchers, and policymakers in the field to freely download, read, and share the content available at:
