2025 JPS Highly Cited Author Award
Dear Colleagues,
To recognize high-impact scholarship published in Volume 3 (2025), JPS conducted its annual “Highly Cited Author Award” competition. After comprehensive screening of all research articles and briefs, the Editorial Board applied the following weighted criteria:
1. Article views and downloads (30 %)
2. Google-Scholar citations received within 12 months of publication (30 %)
3. Expert assessment of methodological rigor, policy relevance and writing clarity (40 %)
Three papers emerged as clear leaders. It is therefore our pleasure to announce the 2025 JPS Highly Cited Author Award winners (in alphabetical order by first author):
1. Hamid Mattiello, Diana Mattiello. “Examining gender disparities in obesity clinic utilization: An analysis of sex and gender influences via the X.0 wave theory”.
2. Richard W. Hutchinson, Thomas E. Rehm. “Global Solutions & Outreach Programs: Humanity’s best chance to resolve global warming, Part 1: Global warming challenges”.
3. Richard W. Hutchinson, Thomas E. Rehm. “Global Solutions & Outreach Programs: Humanity’s best chance to resolve global warming, Part 2: Global warming solutions”.
Each winning article will receive:
1. A formal certificate signed by the Journal Office;
2. Lifetime open-access promotion on the JPS homepage and social-media channels;
3. A USD 300 voucher from our publisher, China Scientific Research Publishing.
We congratulate the authors on their exceptional contributions and thank all 2025 authors, reviewers and readers for sustaining the quality and reach of JPS. We look forward to your continued engagement in 2026.
Warm regards,
